On the basis of introduction and contrast of all kinds of developing and printing technology, we first discuss the LCOS display peculiarities and key optical techniques of the LCOS projection system. Then we make an analysis of the basic architecture and performance reeiiiirement of the digital picture printing system which uses LCOS as its displaying exposal system according to the practical application. And we propose the systemic blue print which includes USB transmission/SDRAM storage. Finally we finish designing and testing the LCOS digital printing system.In this system, USB2.0 interface accomplish the fast, convenient and reliable image data transmission between LCOS printing system and the computer. Fast read-write RAM device SDRAM which has a large amount of memory space is the image data storage buffer of this system. As the controlling unit of this system FPGA can make USB, SDRAM and LCOS driver these three aspects work harmoniously and corresponsively.We finish designing the applied software which can control, transmit and display the image data of the LCOS printing system based on USB interface. We accomplish designing, testing and experiment of LCOS digital exposal system and acquire high-quality pictures.There are eight chapters in this dissertation. The first two chapters mainly introduce the digital printing technique, LCOS applying theory and the architecture of LCOS exposal system. The third chapter introduces the circuit system of LCOS exposal system. Next three chapters give a detailed introduction to circuit chips, devise and application, the Windows applied software of this exposal system. The seventh chapter provides this LCOS printing system experiment result. In the last chapter a conclusion is made and the future improvements are proposed.
