In order to investigate the average disease of culvert,such as cracking replacement and leaking water.Based on the culvert structure under embankment of the high-stacked issue research,a investigate team is organized to investigate the culverts in Sichuan Shaanxi Gansu and Yunnan. T he main methods of culvert disease summeed up is:(l)Crack psssing through the culvert or not(longitudinal or transverse) (2) Cracking or displacement between settlement joint of the culvert.(3) Displacement between the top structure and the lateral wall.(4) End wall or the abutment wall inclines or the concret cracks and desquamates. (5 ) Vehicle bumps on the culvert because of asymmetry settlement of the foundation.(6)Subsidence of the whole culvert leads to collect much water in the culvert.The reasons of the culvert disease:(l)Surveying;(2) Mistake of caculating the compress behavior of the culveret.(3)Mistake of structure design (4) Mistake of base and foundation design;(5) Mistake of culvert construction.Three treatment methods of the culvert disease is put forward:(l)Bushing and crack reparing technique.(2) Underpinning foundation technique .(3)Anchorage technique.
