Explosion technology has been widely applied in the engineering of city building demolition and rock digging, which has showed great superiority. But the impact of the explosion dust has been never controlled, which limits further application of demolishing blasting. This paper, directing at the characteristic of the explosion dust, has put forward the method of capturing dust through water mist produced by explosion. The main work and conclusions of this thesis are as follows:(1) The materials used to imitate the dust are determined according to the characteristic of the dust produced by explosion and the way imitating the dust is established. Meanwhile, areasonable and feasible experimental testing system used to capture the dust is designed.(2) Using the dust density detector and laser particle analyzer, measuring the density and particles size and analysizing the result, we attained many characteristics of the dust density and particle size.(3) By super photography the diffusing radium, velocity of dust diffusing and water mist floating are discussed as well as the time of dust diffusing and water mist floating, as a result, we get the relationship among the various factors and the principle influencing each other.(4) A system adapt to the high-speed flow field called DPIV is designed and makes it possible measure the distribution of particles in the particle field. Through the research about the water mist characteristic, the best mass ratio of explosive to water is determined.(5) Through blank experiments , orthogonal experiments and additional experiments, the mechanism of dust capturing we discussed indicates that water mist produced by explosion has better effect on dust removal. By the combination of theory and experiment, the mechanism of dust capturing by water mist provides some theoretical basis in the engineering application in the aspect of the dust capturing.
