In warfare,it is the key to win that offering the accurate and opportune intelligence to commanders and soldiers.Recently,as a new kind of equipment, USH (Unmanned Spy Helicopter) shows its outstanding capability and takes an important part in wars.Now Army of many countries lay emphasis on USH and study in this field deeply.IPTS (Information Processing and Transmission System) is critical for USH,which manages all functional modules on the helicopter and schedules all tasks' exection.First,we introduce USH's development in domestic and abroad,illustrate the Unmanned Helicopter used in our research. Subsequently we analyse the framework of the system,then expound the theory of designing and propose the designed project.IPTS is made up of the control subsystem base on microprocessor,the video sampling and compressing subsystem,the communication subsystem organized by wireless communication module and ethernet communication module.According to the applycation background and the capability requirements,each subsystem's configuration and working principle is analysed, and the hardware is realized. Then we confirm the working parameters of the system through debugging.At last,we analyse the framework of software system and give the designed project on the platform of Linux embedded real-time operating system.
