Peak chamber pressure is one of the important parameters which must be measured in firing weapon's design, manufacture and checking. For more than a hundred years, the method of plastic deformation for measuring pressures has been the main means to test the chamber pressure because of its advantages of reliability, convenience and low price. The traditional testing process of the method of plastic deformation for measuring pressures is fussy, and needs expending a lot of manual work, besides, in the traditional testing process the fault is created easily.Accordingly, the pressure intelligent interpretation system of plastic pressure-measuring elements is designed. The test system is made up of length testing device, hardware system and PC software and so on. The deformation or the highness after shooting of the plastic pressure-measuring elements is measured by the high precision LVDT displacement sensors in length testing device. The data collections, data storage and communications are realized by hardware system. The data reception, date conversions, peak pressure reading are realized by PC software which is developed by Visual Basic. The database management of the dynamic pressure comparison list, pulse width correcting list and temperature correcting list is also realized by PC software.The whole system succeeded in anticipative precision by demarcating the system and being compared with the micrometer testing outcome with handy operation and reliable work. It works simply and reliably. It removed the easily appeared mistake in the process of manual testing, avoided a mass of manual work, improved the testing precision and succeeded in the intelligent pressure interpretation of the plastic pressure-measuring elements.
