TO BUILD A COMPLETE POWER GRID RELAY PROTECTION AND FAULT INFORMATION SYSTEM IS AN IMPORTANT GUIDELINE PROJECT OF STATE GRID COMPANY IN NIGHTH FIVE YEAR PLANNING , SO POWER GRID RELAY PROTECTION AND FAULT INFORMATION SYSTEM BECOMES THE PRESENT IMPORTANT RESEARCH PROGRAM IN CHINA. ADOPTING IEC61850 (SUBSTATION COMMUNICATION AND SYSTEM) AND 1EC 61970 (ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM APPLICATION PROGRAM INTERFACE) IS THE PRIMARY GUIDANCE TO BUILD SUCH AN OPEN INFORMATION NET SYSTEM. THIS THESIS, WHICH TAKES JINHUA DISTRICT POWER GRID AS A STUDY CASE, HAS STUDIED TO GENERAL DESIGN OF GRID RELAY PROTECTION AND FAULT INFORMATION SYSTEM AND OPERATIONAL SAFETY IS SPECIALLY STUDIED AS WELL AS ITS SOLUTION.
