| Active magnetic bearing (AMB) is a new type of supporting component, which uses electromagnetic force to support freely a rotor. Because it has many advantages, such as no friction, no wear, no pollution and long service, AMB is attracted a great deal of attention for scientists and manufactures. AMB is a composed system including mechanics, electronics, magnetic, and computers.A mathematics model of a single freedom degree of AMB on the base of AMB's operating principles is built up. Hardware design project of digital controller and two-level voltage switching power amplifier based on TMS320F240 are proposed and partially verified experimentally according to AMB's requires. Difference equations adapting to digital controller are inferred based on control theory. Based on the hardware system, software for digital controller which include PID, communication with PC,A/D and D/A, etc are also dealt with. Finally, the method of system debugging of hardware and software are analyzed.The two-level power amplifier and digital controller system are designed and results show that they fundamentally meet the design requirements of an AMB. Levitation of single freedom degree of AMB is realized. |
