With the development of the electronic measuring technology, measuring technology is geared to automated, intelligentization and network directions. Digital storage oscilloscope as the important measuring apparatus is widely used in various fields. Compared with analog oscilloscope, it has so lots of advantages that it is a tendency that it will substitute analog oscilloscope gradually. Now the technology of digital storage oscilloscope is more advanced overseas, and occupies the great majority of market. So it is indispensable to develop digital storage oscilloscope ourselves. Using the two sampling technologies: real-time sampling and random sampling, we will discuss these correlative problems in this paper: the design of data acquiring system, a novel fashion of display with no control chip, the design of software etc. The main attributions of the paper include:1.The design of data acquiring system. It is the hardcore of the design of digital storage oscilloscope, and a great difference to analog oscilloscope. The paper puts forward a novel intelligent institute structure -- DSP+FPGA structure. For its great flexible and universal characteristic, we will design and develop a digital storage oscilloscope based on this structure, which sampling frequency is 5 GSPS, bandwidth is 100 MHZ. 2. The design of control circuit of LCD.A microchip controls the mode of LCD in conventional display fashion, which will need a display control chip and a microchip. In order to reduce cost as soon as possible, we use another novel method, designing a circuit of timing for LCD by FPGA, to control the display of LCD.3.The software design of waveform. We will discuss multiform mode that the waveform is recurred on LCD, including scan mode, stop mode, real-time sampling and random sampling etc.
