This paper focus on the following four aspects: the mathematical models of load-appointment optimization and circulating water system operation optimization in power plant; the resolving methods of these models; the dataming method to get equipment performance data from the information database; writing a software to support load-appointment optimization and circulating water system operation optimization, base on the mathematical models of them and dataming method.First, the mathematical model of load-appointment according to load curve and real-time load-appointment were studied, also the mathematical model of circulating water system operation optimization was discussed. Their resolving method is enumeration method.According to the mathematical model of circulating water system operation optimization and data from a 300MW unit, this paper carried on calculation. Comparing with existing operation, the operation instruction based on calculation result can help improve efficiency.The data from power plant practice show that the equipment performances change gradually. The calculation result that based on old equipment performance data became not perfect. Through analysis on records in the information database in power plant, we can get performance data that are more close to reality. This paper use weighted average method to analysis records. When it come to circulating water system, if we see the condensator, the pipeline system and the circulating pumps as a whole system, focus on it's input and output, then the problem simplified.The load-appointment optimization and circulating water system operation optimization problem is not a pure structured problem. It's necessary to let operator make final operational decision with the help of optimization instruction from software.Finally, a program namely Load-appointment and Circulating water system operation optimization decision support software was developed by Visual Basic, The program can be regard as a part of the SIS in power plant. Through analysis on the records in real-time/history database in power plant, the program can obtain the equipment performance data. The function of the software include: according to load curve, calculate and output load-appointment instruction; according to real time load request from power control center, calculate and output load-appointment instruction; according to the load of each unit, calculate and output circulating water system operation instruction; connect with the SIS database and analysis records to get equipment performance data, ect.
