Applied Research, Characteristics Of Technology In Capp

Theory of feature technology shows great advantages in Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) and propels the development of CAPP. It's very valuable to research the application of feature technology in CAPP system.Firstly, this paper analyzed the existing CAPP systems and their supporting technologies, and described the characteristics of these supporting technologies. Then based on the analysis of the forming mechanics of existing systems, the architecture of F/S-CAPP system had been built up. With a detail research on feature technology, an information model of parts was established that formed a good foundation of the system's working. Also this paper analyzed the machine process knowledge of Shaft from the view of feature technology, and used the manner of human-machine interactivity to resolve the knowledge difficult to be programmed, which simplified the development of the system and reached the expecting goal. Process database is the supporting technology of the decision analysis in CAPP, and this paper formalized the process knowledge and built up a corresponding process database. Finally, using the models and methods issued in this paper, a software prototype system was developed, which got a good result in experiments.
