Taking the Derrick Hoisting as an example and using the programming tool. Visual C++, the applications of Computer-Aided Calculation & Analysis for hoisting work in construction have been discussed in this thesis, which is based on computer simulation and timing control. Furthermore, the plane dynamic graphic simulation and force analysis for lifting work course have been mainly probed in this paper. After this, it is available to select or design hoisting tools according to a special database of Derrick crane and steel rope.The research work in this paper involves the simplifying of mechanics model, force calculation & analysis, strength of equipment, structural stability of Derrick, breakage calculation of steel rope and a special computer database of Derrick crane and steel rope. This can be of significant benefit to cut down the cost and time limit for a project The program package gone with this paper may realizes the dynamic simulation for all of courses in hoisting, and may synchronously displays the axis force of Derrick, the pull-force of the steel wire, obliquity of equipment and overloading instance. It is helpful to control all of courses of the work.Though this simulation method is mainly applied for analyzing the mechanics model of Derrick Hoisting, it's not only limited in Derrick Hoisting. In fact, it is also provides a sample of computer-wided calculation & analysis for other hoisting programs principally. This is helpful to improve computer application in hoisting work.
