In recent years, the amount of air traffic increases rapidly. Air traffic flow management(ATFM) is urgently needed to solve the ever increasing congestion. The aims of ATFM are to scientifically distribute air traffic flow in space and along time direction,to efficiently use airspace under the prediction of safety .This paper design a computer assisted system for strategic and pre-tactical air traffic flow management.The system calculate air traffic flow density with a systematical view. It take into account all the air routes,airways, airports ,control areas and airlines during the course of flow computing. In other words,it consider all the restricting units as a whole. The main functions it provides are as following: First of all, it present friendly human-machine interface for users' flow density query. Secondly it can automatically predict latent conflicts according to original flight schedule, lastly it give a resolution to flight conflicts. The system is very valuable for the relevant authority to scientifically arrange flight plans in a long run and to adjust original flight schedules when the latest regulating information is gotten. In a word,it is a milestone for the future air traffic flow management in our country. |
