Directed against the jump disease at bridge abutment in the high-grade highway, for the first time, the paper puts forward the treatment method of the flexible approach slab, which is consisted of geocell. With the help of Marc program, the author, through simulating the different foundation condition, analyzes the changed rule of stress and displacement, discusses the active mechanic of the flexible approach slab in dealing with the jump. By analyzing the effects of some factors on the settlement of backfill behind abutment, such as module of embankment filler , module of flexible approach slab, spacing, layer Nlength, the paper proposes some important design parameters .As a result, the design is optimized. Finally, the paper tests the effect of the flexible approach slab used in the real project and sums up the techniques and requirements of construction.
