Aircraft electrical power supply systems (AEPSS) has played an important role in the modem airplane. It is very important for studying AEPSS to measure the parameters of AEPSS accurately and rapidly. This paper describes the theories and methods employed in a system for measuring AEPSS parameters developed recently by the author. And the measuring and controlling software is presented.The detail work, done in this paper, is listed as follows: Firstly, the author analyses the sampling data to measure steady-state parameters (both AC ones and DC ones) and transient parameters of AEPSS which is described in GJB181-86 and HB6448-90. For AC discrete digital signal, the zero-calculating method is applied to calculate the true zero in the periodic signal. For the measurement of AC and DC voltage spectrum, the faster Fourier transform (FFT) is used. To measure DC voltage ripple spectrum and frequency modulation of AC voltage, the digital filter is used. Secondly, a advanced software package is programmed on the basis of these methods and theories. Finally, the author put forward some different opinions on the HB6448-90 itself.The programming results show that the algorithm, which is used in the measuring and controlling system of AEPSS, is effective and credible. All the tested parameters of AEPSS meet basic requirments and the measuring software performs greatly.
