Nowadays, Container shipping is becoming the leading means of international maritime freight transpoitation. During the container-ship's voyage at sea, the containers loaded on board, especially those on deck, which are seriously influenced by wind, wave, gravity of themselves and the ship's inertia, will be distorted, shifted, or fall off.To be on the safe side and to make full use of the capacity of the ship, it's necessary to use securing devices to secure the containers. Many countries and areas have made their own criterions of container, container ship and securing devices. But those are theoretic not practicable. It's hard and not practicable to check the validity of securing project by manual calculation. So the ship often adopts conservative securing project for the safe side. It's a waste of labor and securing devices and cannot make full use of the capacity of the ship. Up to now, validating the securing project's effect conveniently is still a trouble, which is not solved satisfyingly. In this thesis, Visual C++ 6.0 is used to develop the system - Validity checking system of securing containers on deck to reduce the difficulty of this trouble. This system is based on "Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Sea-going Steel Ships". With this system, Containers' Stacking and Securing project can be simulated and checking targets can be calculated and displayed. The validity of containers' securing is guaranteed.Mingzhong Van (Communication Information Engineering & Control)...
