Based on sufficient investigation of the crash energy absorption equipment developing level around the world, this paper presents structure project of crash energy absorption machine equipment and compares the crash energy absorption machine equipment research of computer simulation and test. Simulation analysis uses dynamic explicit finite element method. According to regulation of sled test and designed structure size about crash energy absorption machine equipment, models of crashed steel panel and square column are established by ANSYS/LS ?DYNA software. The crash tests of different thickness, number, length steel panel and different section, number, length, thickness square column are simulated. Output result format of simulated sled deceleration is changed by program compiled by C++ language, and then according to regulation, result of simulated sled deceleration is processed with CFC60 in data processing system of sled test. The optimization problem of parameters, example hourglass coefficient, mesh size, jointing simulation and so on, which affect the result of crash simulation, is solved. The size and number projects of steel panel and square column, which make deceleration curve of sled reach the requirement, are found by simulation. To verify the simulation result, sled tests are done by auto crash test system. From result of simulation and test, the sled deceleration curves are almost same. By simulation to crash energy absorption machine equipment, foundation curves to realize deceleration curves of the regulation test and auto crash test are acquired, and number and cost of test can be reduced.
