The development and study of the engine electronic control technology, which is regarded as one important method to reduce the exhaust emissions and improve the power and economy performance, is paid more and more attention. To attaining the better power performance and economic performance, satisfying the law of national emission and maintaining the stable work operation, the matching test of the ECU and the engine needs to be done and the control parameters be calibrated and optimized in the progress of application and development of the electronic control system. The author studies further on the development environment of electronic control engine based on the purpose. Then a development system of the EC engine is developed, which emphasis is the hardware and software design of the interface of PC and the other control systems.The system uses the PC and the AT89C52 as the control center of the system. The PC optimizes the control parameters as the calculation control unit. The AT89C52 receives the various parameters by serial communication with the power measurement system and the fuel consume measurement system and the emission measurement system and the ECU and so on, then sends into PC by sharing the RAM with the PC as the communication control unit. The system adopts the concentrated control method to manage the other systems by the AT89C52 of the control center. So it is convenient to add the new system and enlarge the new function. The time of dealing time is reduced and the responding speed is enhanced because of the PC only doing the work of optimization and calculation and the SCM systems are convenient to manage because of their simple function and software.The function modularization is used in the software design of the system to simplify the later expansion and transplantation of the system. The serial communication method is adopted in the software and the master SCM exchanges the data with the SCM systems in turn.The matching test is done by applying the system in the 170F engine. The results of test indicate that the electronic control development system can attain expected function and fulfill the optimization and matching test of the ECU and the engine effectively.
