Geographic Information System (gis) In Road Network Planning

According to the analysis of the Geographical Information System,this paper reserch on how GIS uesed on the highway network planning field.Based on this, build spacial database(including Digital Terrain Model building) which can use for highway network planning and develope the highway network planning Geographical Information System.This system is developed by Visual Basic 5.O,we can use it to complete highway network planning by its model analysis and spacial analysis according to all kinds of information which is given by system database.
