Firstly, the feature of small─sized concrete hollow block reinforcedmasonry wall is introduced. The current situation of reinforced wall's designtheory and its calculation method is analyzed; their characteristics,sameness and the existing problems are pointed out. And then the necessityand feasibility of testifying and perfecting design formula in existenceapplied to reinforced wall especially high-reinforced wall construction ispresented. Then, the shear mechanism of reinforced wall is investigated. Theeffects of shear span ratio, normal pressure and reinforced ratio on the shearstrength are discussed. Five specimens are tested under cyclic load reversals,and the shear strength, the stiffness, the deforability and the energyconsumption of the walls are analyzed. Finally, based on the analyses of 26experimental specimens of small concrete block shear sall, a formula forevaluating the shear bearing capacity of oblique section is proposed.Numerical results of the formula and the testing results are compared.Preliminary analysis is held on the extent of the formula applying.
