Because of high self-load and poor seismic behavior in conventional masonry structure, the use of this structure is confined. As a new type of masonry structure, Reinforced masonry attract much attention because of its economy and good seismic behavior. Fly-ash which is a kind of industry waste material will pollute environment if it can't be utilized rationally. The use of Fly-ash in block will not only enrich the variety wall stuff, but also meet our national policy.Based on the test results of 2 pieces of Fly-ash Masonry Shear Wall specimen, which its depth-width is 1.68, subjected to the low frequency cyclic horizontal loading the mechanical performance and the interaction behavior of outer concrete frame and inner masonry wall have been analyzed. Some conclusions are as follows: The mechanical performance of Small-sized Hollow Fly-ash Masonry ShearWall can satisfy the need of practical engineering. Its anti-permeability and endurance performance are superior to brick and small-sized hollow concrete block. The test indicates that the outer concrete frame and inner masonry wall can work together harmoniously as an entirety, the masonry wall exhibits high ductility and ability of energy dissipation, the working mechanism of this masonry wall is similar to reinforced concrete shear wall.The yield load, ultimate load and the horizontal rigidity of this masonry shear wall will be improved if we set core column reasonably, but its cracking load can't be improved.The depth-width ratio, vertical compression stress, section and its reinforced ratio of the concrete frame, core column are the key influence factors on the mechanical property of masonry shear wall, the influence of mortar strength on masonry shear wall is little if the ratio of core column is high.The bottom masonry should be strengthened in practical engineering. Crack should be permitted to appear in up masonry shear wall. In order to enhance its plasticity, the concrete used in core column should be added admixture. Based on the above mentioned experimental analysis result, formula of ultimate bending capacity and shear capacity have been established. These formula can be referred.
