憀hc chemical groutizig matcrial for dam expansion joint requires good adhesive strength. a certain degree of elasticity and fast congelation speed when metcd with water. By comparing the property of different chemical grouting material, The paper selects the polyurethane chemical grouting material as the main dircction of rcscarch. Tolylcnc 2,4(6)-diisocyanatc and polycthcr arc chose as the main raw material by exploratory test. Two type of polyurethane chemical grouting material with different property is developed. The developing of hydrophobic polyurethane chemical grouting material 1hc prepolymcr, which synthesized by the reaction of TDI and polyether N301 at the equivalent ratio of -NCO/-OH 4:1 is chose as the main component of hydrophobic polyurethane chemical grouting material. By investigating the affect of reaction timex temperature and the way of feeding raw material to the synthesis of prepolymcr, a fairly good technological conditions is chose. A good formula of property improver and prepolymcr was achieved by probing the affect of self-made property improver to the property of grouting material. The type and the amount of accessory ingredients arc selected on thc basis of invcstigating the affect of accessory ingredients to the propcrty of material. A formula of hydrophobic polyurethane chcrnical grouting matcrial is selected. The viscosity of material is 97cp,adhesive strength 2. 52MPa, tensile strength 6.51 MPa, compression strength 5.O7MPa, extensibility 11 70/o lbe developing of hydrophiic polyurethane chcmical grouting material The main component of copolyether hydrophiiic polyurethane chemical grouting material is prepared by reaction of TDI and copolyether with random oxyetheylene/oxypropylene units givcn * NCO/-0H3.5:1. Thc main component of mixed polycther hydrophilic polyurethane chemical grouting materials is prepared by reaction of the mixed polyether which contain polyethcr N301 and PEG2000 with TDI. A fairly good technological condition is chose by probing the affect of reaction timc~ temperature and the condition of dewater to the synthesis of prepolymcr. The formulas of copolycther and mixcd polyethcr hydrophiiic polyurethane chemical grouting material are achieved by probing the affect of acccssory ingredient to the property of matcrial. The viscosity of copolycthcr polyurethane is 320cp, adhesive strength I .73MPa,tcnsile strength 2.O8MPa, cxtcnsibility 2030/o. The viscosity of mixed polyether polyurethane is I 22cp, adhesive strength I .85MPa, tensilc strcngth 2. 59MPa, extensibility 244~/o. A comprehensive laboratory test programme on polyurethane chcmical grouting material, which dcvclopcd by the paper, is pcrformcd, including flowing water leaking stoppage test, as well as impermeability test and adhesive tcst of concrete artificial crack. The result of indoor simulated test indicates that the material ,which can meet the requite of engineering usage, has the value of being popularized.
