Because of the special safety rules of the nuclear facilities, the possibility of earthquake must be considered. So in this paper, static analysis, dynamic characteristics analysis and earth-quake resistance performance analysis are made for 2t nuclear class specialized crane. The static maximum displacements, maximum stresses of the crane and the counter-forces between the wheels and the rails are solved when the loads and the crane positions are various by using the finite-element method and super-sap program. Then the natural vibration frequency analysis is performed, and the first twenty eigentones of the crane are solved. Method of response spectrum is used for crane's maximum response for the earth quake. The earth quake acceleration reaction spectrums are added on the crane by method of single-point input, and method of quadratic sum ?root squaring is adopted for the combination of the mode reactions. The computing results are studied. The maximum displacements, maximum stresses of the crane, the pulling forces of the steel wine and the toss power of the crane are gotten for the earth-quake. Check the reliability of crane and the safety of the crane is verified.
