As the economy of our country has been developing constantly for several years, people's lives have been largely improved. Automobile, as the most important tool for transportation, have entered many families. Although automobile have brought huge convenience, however, motor vehicle exhaust has heavily polluted the environment. For the sake of improving our living conditions, emission control regulations have been promulgated in many countries to restrict vehicle exhaust, which is more and more rigorous. Under the direction of the regulations, researchers have been made unremitting efforts to improve emission status.In the 2007, a new emission control regulation for motorcycle, with the number GB14622-2007, is promulgated. Compare with the old regulation, the new one uses the more scientific experimental method, and set stricter emission limits, so as to bridging the gaps between China and the developed country on emission control regulations. Therefore, the promulgation of GB14622-2007 is an important milestone in the history of the motorcycle.However, when the researchers did experiments according to the emission control regulations, they discovered some difficulties during the research. For instance, first, when they did the experiments according to the regulations, they need chassis dynamometer, which is quite costly. Second, during the experiment, the researchers need disassemble and assemble the engine from the motorcycle again and again, for the reason of that the experiments according to the regulations are aim at the motorcycle, but the improvement work is mainly aim at the engine.To solve these problems, this paper will introduce a simulation method in the engine dynamometer test, which will simulate the operation state of engine when it is operating in the motorcycle. That is to say, it will introduce a method of engine dynamometer test, which will simulate the experiment according to the emission control regulations during the research work. And this method will perfectly solve the problems above.The research work of this paper mainly includes the following aspects:1. Introduce the test principle of the regulations GB14622-2007.2. Analyze the principle of the chassis dynamometer, and establish the mathematical model of simulating the road state.3. Analyze the principle of the engine dynamometer, and then establish a mathematical model to simulate operation state of engine when it is operating in the motorcycle, which is running according to the regulations.4. Do some experiments on the chassis dynamometer and the engine dynamometer test bench, and prove the mathematical models above.
