With the development of elecrtonic current/voltage transducer, merging unit, intelligent breaker and network communication technologies, equipments of process level in substation have improved greatly. Particularly along with the release of IEC 61850 standard series,an international standard in electrical power field, and its applicaition in substation automation System.Substations are inclined to digitalization, intelligentization and unification in communication protocols.Tradditonal transformer protection IED of bay level exposes more and more shortcomings in rate of correct protect action, interoperability, compatible of communication interfaces and protocols which cannot be overcome, result in the inadaptability to equipments of process level .In order to meet the developmet of digital substation automation system, It becomes a inevitable tendency that researching and making a digital transformer protection IED based on IEC 61850.The thesis which gives a blueprint of transformer protection IED in software and hardware based on IEC 61850 purposes research and design a new-type transformer protection IED which can satisfy the communication requirement of digital substation.The IED based on embedded technology introduces in an advanced"ARM+DSP"dual-processors structure to build the hardware platform.The IED uses high-performance,industrial-grade ARM microprocessor—S3C2410A as the master processor which can perform multitask process,IHMI and Ethernet communication based on IEC 61850 to implement IED system management and communication function,uses TMS320F2812 DSP as the slave processor to implement samped value processing, protection algorithm, measuring and controlling.The thesis firstly analyzes the characters and function requirements of IED based on IEC 61850.Secondly, it models the transformer protection IED from function and coummunition mapping according to IEC 61850-5,7,8,9,then gives detailed research and design on hardware circuits, transplants a Bootloader and embedded Linux OS to ARM board, edits, compiles and dubugs the device drivers. At last the thesis does research es on transformer protection IED's process bus communication, sampled vaule receiving and GOOSE communication.The thesis satisfies IEDs'communication equirements for functions and device models as well as interoperability based on IEC 61850.The blueprint of transformer protection IED owns vital theories meaning and application value.
