This RF AC strong magnetic field excitation source is designed to meet people's needs of dynamic magnetic field. The Helmholtz coil is imposed by incentives of different intensity and different frequencies, so that there will generate corresponding magnetic field in the tube well of the Helmholtz coil. These parameters for high frequency, high-power excitation source in the internal switching power supply has no realization. For there is not yet mature solution of this contradiction between high frequency and high-power at home and abroad, so this paper is to do some theoretical study and experimental attempts.This design has taken full advantage of the power electronic technology development results. It uses a full-bridge inverter circuit as the amplifier circuit, while selecting the best snubbed circuit and protection circuits to cope with. The switch of full-bridge circuit selects APT50M38JLL, while the driver chip selects Texas Instruments UCC27322. Their features of high frequency, high voltage and high current have provided a reliable guarantee for the excitation source. Drive signals are PWM at low-frequency and high-frequency at high-frequency. In order to receive enough current in the load coil there is a compensation circuit in the design.The master part composes of the MCU and FPGA. The MCU is low-power microcontroller MSP430F149 produced by Texas Instruments, which is used to communicate with the host computer, receive the user's commands and send the corresponding parameters to FPGA. MCU also monitors the entire circuit, judge errors in the main circuit and give the correct response. FPGA selected EP1C6Q240C8, which accepts the parameters from the main microcontroller complete the digital logic and generate in the corresponding drive signal.In the design and production process, software simulation has also been taken in order to enrich the research results and enhanced the progress of the study. The prototype has reached the leading level at home and abroad. And this design has a certain practical significance for the aviation, aerospace, vehicles, military equipment and other special applications of the constant-voltage source. It can also provide ideas for civilian power development.
