| Architectural style of Suzhou ancient city constitutes an important part of the overall fabric of the structure, two thousand years of historical and cultural patterns of behavior and life extension of space makes the city building's room and architecture forms with a very stable structure. In the new era, with the material and spiritual needs of people, a huge impact occurs on spatial form, and the designing methods we learn from the West to solve the problem do not often achieve the desired effect, and even self-defeating. Therefore, we need to explore new designing patterns, to make up for the architectural space and architectural form, to guide the designing strategy deficiencies.The study is based on typology and semiotics theory. Supported by two theories for the integrated use of architectural space and construction of Suzhou, the paper carries out morphology analysis of the status quo in order to enhance understanding and identify problems. We can apply theory and methods to explore ways of solving the problem, and put forward a new model. This article summarizes a set of practical designing principles and designing strategies to the design of new buildings on the city to inspire and help, and also to other regions of the ancient city's texture and architectural cultural heritage.The article first analyzes the background of the study, on the basis of this theory and to support a summary of the theory and practice selected. Typology theory and application of building space in the main city of Suzhou composition space prototype extraction and summarized, the semiotics of architectural forms were the main characteristics of the elements, while the ancient city in the form of traditional and modern architecture were analyzed , found advantages and disadvantages of various forms.
