Bai Pattern-cum-graphic Elements In Dali Tourism Souvenir Design Study

Tour shopping becomes necessary during the tourism. The souvenir as a part of tour shopping, no matter what it was bought for such as for remembrance or as a gift to friends, realises its actual value. Compared with the beads and pendants found everywhere at the domestic scenic spots, the souvenirs highlighting local ethnic characteristics is commendable. Dali, as a shining pearl in Yunnan tourism, flashing on the fertile ground of western Yunnan with a long history, besides the natural beauty, is famous for its unique historical and cultural charm. All the accumulations not only make souvenirs of Dali rich in kinds, but also highlight their cultural flavor. Art beauty is the appereance of features for the value of souvenirs, while the use and design of decorative patterns are more important. The patterns and graphic elements of the Bai nationality as visual symbols are beautiful, but due to the era differences of the aesthetic, their use and design of the concrete may inevitably have some limitations.This paper describes and analyzes how to find a suitable symbol to make aesthetic consensus in use and design of Dali's tour souvenirs with the patterns and graphic elements of the Bai nationality.
