The research is about the methods of modern apparel construction in China. Through clarifying the formation and development of the methods of modern apparel construction in China and analyzing them systematically,the article aims to establishing a basic framework for the research of the methods of modem apparel construction in China,which will help to the further research and exploration on the methods of modern apparel construction in China.The materials and information, which come from the books,periodicals and the experienced teachers,were classified and analyzed systematically and lead to the research results.Results are as follows:because the modern apparel construction methods in China are mainly from western countries and Japan and the methods were passed down from masters to apprentices,the theoretical research on the apparel construction in China started much later than the develop western countries which needs perfect;it haven't formed a standard of apparel construction in china owing to the vast territory and uneven development of regional economics.At presents,there are lots of different apparel construction methods in China,which have their advantages and disadvantages.In a word,it's necessary to have a macroscopic view on the modern apparel construction methods in China and make the methods complement each other, in order to form a standard system of apparel construction in China which is quite important to standardize Chinese apparel industry.
