Since the middle period of the 1960's, the global ecological problems have been becoming serious. Western countries have sprung up a trend of thought which claimed to build such a society, which will protect environments and abide by the ecological laws. This trend of thought soon merged with socialism and formed eco-socialism.The theory of eco-socialism is based on the relations between human beings and the nature. It seeks for the reason of the ecological crisis and how to answer it. It also finds the approach of the social renovation and its leadership force. Regarding the ecological benefit as its core value, eco-socialism pursues the harmony relationship between human beings and the nature. It ponders and values the economic, political and other activities of human beings and inaugurates a new view to look into the issues of capitalism and socialism, which is called Green View. This new view is different from the classical Marxism. It provides the important reason for us to surpass the capitalism and seek the socialism in the future. As a social theory which born into the world with forty years, eco-socialism is juvenile and incomplete in theory. However, this can not gloss over its valuable ideas. For example, it emphasizes the ecological environmental consciousness and the harmonious coexist between society and nature, protests the moderate growth of the economy and advocates the saving consume and so on. These ideas play a revelatory role in our ecological civilization construction.
