Ye Yahu Wetland Nature Reserve which is in northwest Beijing Yanqing County, is the largest area of Beijing's wetland nature reserves, the ecological type is complex here, biological diversity, is an important north-south routes of birds and wintering habitat to. Therefore, the protection and using of Yeya Hu wetland have more and more attention, now the space technologies such as RS, GIS provide an effective method for wetlands information access and management, But in wetland management and research still exist some shortcomings:1. The way of wetlands resource management is less efficient, updated data is not convenient.Traditional wetland resources management method is according to the type of wetland information to set up various databases to manage all kinds of wetland data. This method is very convenient for building the database, but in future adding or amending data is more difficult. Since the establishment of the database is based on each type, so it is likely to result in different types of wetlands in different information storage standard and causes much inconvenience for wetland information retrieval.2. The Contact of "Wetland resources management" and "Wetlands Analysis and Evaluation" is poor.The traditional management method is separated from management and evaluation. When need to evaluate through statistical analysis software to compute, the first it is less efficient, and the second with the wetlands data is more and more, the difficult of analysis will be increasing.To deal with problems above, Main contents of this paper are as followed:1. Because wetland data is complex, in a great amount, and it need to be updated frequently, a wetland information database based on centralized database model is designed, in which all kinds of wetland data is stored in standard catalogs. Central database stores the records which contain saved paths, name and relating information. All other data is accessed via this central database.2. The developed wetland system integrates resources management and analysis-evaluation of wetland. It manages vector data, remotely-sensed data and information data altogether. What's more, it evaluates wetland ecosystem and water quality by the use of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, results of which can therefore be analyzed and evaluated in order to monitor wetland status all these are for supporting wetland protections and utilities, improving effectivity.This paper uses Visual Basic.NET and ArcGIS Engine, combining ADO techniques, and ultimately develops a wetland information system using COM component technique, in which Yeya Hu Wetland is set to be objective. In such system, wetland resources are managed, analyzed, evaluated systematically, so that scientific methods and effective decision-makings are supplied on wetland protection and utilities.
