The silanes and polysilanes end-functioned by were synthesized by dichlorodimethylsilane , dichlorodiphenylsilane, p-dibromobenzene and N, N-dimethyl-p-bromine aniline. The silanes were prepared through the Grignard reaction in tetrahydrofuran, as well as the polysilanes with sodium dispersion in refluxing toluene (xylene). The products were characterized by FT-IR, ~1HNMR and GPC, respectively. After inspecting the influences of Grignard reaction, solvents in the separation, reaction temperature and reaction time to the synthesis and polymerization the best routine and conditions of the preparation was determined. The thermal degradation of the polysilanes and kinetics parameters were studied by DSC-TGA. The results showed that the polymers have good thermal stability and barely have thermal degradation before 300℃, as the substitutes and structures in the main chain have important effects on the thermal stability of the polymers. We found it the best thermal stability with phenylene inducted into the main chain of "Si-Si".The supramolecular assembly was carried by the metal irons with strongly coordinate ability(for example, Pt[VI]) and the bis(4-N,N-dimethyl)phenylsilanes and (4-N,N-dimethyl)phenyl-terminatd polysilanes, and primary tests of the supramolecular solution systems were developed to characterize their optical properties and electronic conductivity. The results showed that the photochemistry and electronic conductivity of the systems greatly increase after supramolecular assembly.
