Methanol Synthesis System Simulation Study With The Expansion And Reconstruction

In the paper of the study on flowsheet simulation of methanol synthesis system, we set up flowsheet simulation models for the methanol synthesis system in the Methanol Factory of Natural Gas Mine in the Northwest of Sichuan, and developed a flowsheet simulation system of methanol synthesis by using Visual Basic 6.0 as the programming language.In respect that methanol synthesis reactor is the crucial equipment of methanol synthesis system, a mathematics model of catalyst bed was first established. According as the field data from the factory, we calculated the model parameters and then carried out the simulation calculation of the synthesis reactor to validate them. After establishing the mathematics model of catalyst bed, steady-state flowsheet simulation models were built up by analyzing system. The result of flowsheet simulation showed that simulation data almost tallied with production data of the factory, and so the simulation system can be used in the study on flowsheet simulation of methanol synthesis system.Based on the correct establishment of the flowsheet simulation of the quondam methanol synthesis system, by adjusting flowsheet structure and adding calculation modules, we upbuilt the flowsheet simulation of the rebuilding of enlarging throughput in the Methanol Factory of Natural Gas Mine in the Northwest of Sichuan. By comparing three kinds of rebuilding projects ,which all meet the requirement of enlarging throughput, the project is more deserved recommending, in which a new gas-cooling methanol synthesis reactor are linked after the quondam one, because the investment and energy consumption are lesser, the use of energy is better and the methanol output is higher than the other two projects.
