Flowers - Grid Pipeline Change The Transportation Of Natural Gas Feasibility Study

The old HUA-GE pipeline is a long distance crude oil pipeline with round 6MPa working pressure before stopping, stopped on August 3, 2004. Leakage or pipe bursting accident did not happen on its main line since 2002 to August, 2004. The cathodic protection system was stable after heavy repair. Many facts showed that the old pipeline had some pressurized ability. The old one was unused after new HUA-GE pipeline constructed and production. To make use of the transporting ability of the old pipeline and the gas resource of ChaiDaMu, this dissertation studied deeply on the feasibility and economical value of the old pipeline changed from oil to gas to provide decision support.The main work as follows:(1) Introduced the old HUA-GE oil pipeline;(2) Evaluated the pressurized ability and residual life according to the heavy repair and inner inspection data. The result showed it can worked under the pressure of 3.06MPa;(3) Analyzing the physicochemical property of the pipe material according some standards. Deciding if the pipeline satisfying the technology request for gas transporting. The result showed it can satisfied the gas transportation demand;(4) Analyzing and calculating the gas transporting ability of the old pipeline to decide if the pipeline satisfying the transportation demand. The calculation showed the pipeline can transport gas with big ability;(5) Evaluating the economical value of gas transporting. It needs 45.5 million $ investment. If the pipeline was gas pipeline, the investment can be taken back in 3 years.
