With the rapid development of modern computer technology , the advanced technology is used in modern design more widely; such as the application of CAD, CAM, CAE, ECT, computer aided design. These modern design method not only raises the design speed, but also make products design by these methods more reliable; And its appearance is more beautiful. It can save a lot of human and physical sources, thus the competitive of the products is increased. However, only a few companies in our country use this advanced design method. In order to shorten the distance of advanced technology between our and foreign country, these modern design methods should be applied in various fields.As a kind of oil field equipment, the application condition of the water injection pump is worse than other construction machine. The working load is increased with the improvement of injection pressure. The moving parts and the high pressure bearing parts such as the pump head are the critical component of the machine. They function as transfer electric machine power and inject water and its strength and reliability relates to the normal operation of the machine directly. So it is necessary to run structural analysis and optimum design for them.Its structure design and analysis and strength check are still used traditional method. The loads analysis of each moving part and the application condition of the high pressure component are studied in this thesis, and 3D CAD is used to build up the part of the pump and assemble the pump. Additional, 3D CAD is used to the interference check for assembly and movement of the pump. Finite element method is used to the strength check-up for the pump. The results of finite element method are used to check and improve the structural design of the pump and it demonstrates stress concentration point is the rupture point on thespot. The more reliability pump head is designed in the study with 3D CAD and FEM (finite element method).The propose about next work is also raised in the end.
