The mineral processing of Tangdan refractory copper oxide ores is a worldwide difficult problem. Many domestic and foreign famous experts had done a lot of research about the refractory ores since 1950's, and they obtained some important achievement. On the basis of the twenty-year's productive practice of the refractory copper oxide ores in Tangdan Copper Mine, combining the technology progress of mineral processing in recent years and the present condition of these ores, in order to find a effective method to improve the recovery of tangdan refractory copper oxide ores, a new study of material composition and flotation technology is put forward in this thesis.The experimental results show as follows: (1) the material composition of Tangdan copper oxide ores is relatively simple, however, the structure composition is complicated and the disseminated size is fine, the oxidation ratio and combination ratio are high, moreover, the gangue is alkaliferous gangue , and majority of the gangue is huntite. so it is very difficult for mineral processing because the above reasons; (2) there are five main refractory reasons of Tangdan copper oxide ores. first, the disseminated particles are ultra-fine, the mineral of copper oxide is mainly as the state of "micro-dispersal" or "ultramicro-dispersal" in the gangue, which is called "Seranti". Moreover, the particle distribution of copper sulphide mineral is disseminated fine particles, and large part of them was enwrapped by limonite or locked with limonite: second, there is chrysocolla in the copper ores, and this mineral is very difficult to handle; third, the gangue is mainly carbonate of calcium and magnesium, which limits the choice of method and technology of mineral processing; fourth, the raw ore is deeply disintegrated; finally, the grade of raw ore is low, thus it must undertake multi-concentration, which is disadvantageous for improving the recovery. (3) according to the analysis of material composition and sulfidation flotation mechanism, the beneficiation recoverv of 5.22% can be improved if the measures are taken as follows: a)improving the grinding of fine particles; b) new-type flotation reagent(F-99) and the combination reagent are adopted, which can activate and intensify the effective beneficiation of interlocked mineral and fine-particle copper mineral. From the above, we know that the experimental study is successful, and the experimental results are the good basis of further study of Tangdan copper oxide ores..he experimental results enrich the beneficiation of Tangdan copper ores, fill in some blank of the flotation technology of these refractory copper ores, and which also enrich the theory and practice of beneficiation of Tangdan copper ores...
