Chinese Environmental Protection Industry Status, Trends And Countermeasures

Environment protection industry is widely regarded as a new and important industry in the recent years. In 1998,the Yangzi River Flood woke up more and more people to pay close attention to ecological conservation. The decision of exploitation and development of China's west region as well as the protection program of natural forests have raised the ecological protection to a strategic level. This paper discusses the challenges and opportunities that Chinese environment protection industry will meet in the new situation.This paper consists of four parts. The technological innovation in this industry should be encouraged. In terms of macro economic environment for this industry, the paper advocates that a campaign is necessary to make all people understand the importance of environment protection, thus forming a sound ideological as well as economic foundation to develop environment protection industry.
