According to the surging phenomena in FCCU axial compressor of Hohhot Petrochemical Company when the axial compressor in operation process, in this paper the structure of axial compressor is described. The operating principle of axial compressor, the structure of control system, technological process of FCCU is also introduced. Based on those descript above the reason analyzing of harm and cause of surge in operational process, and the correct measures to prevent from surge happening is also this paper.An axial compressor in FCCU is used in Hohhot Petrochemical Company, and it is a kind of compressor with low pressure and large flow, and its advantages get approval by the vast number of users, widely used in various industrial fields. But due to the structure of the axial compressor is complex, there are too many subassembly in rotating parts, so its reliability is slightly worse than centrifugal blower, this mainly embody at surging phenomena. When the surge happening, air is periodic and forth movement strongly in axial compressor, this lead to large noise, impeller blade stress increase, the impeller and bearings and connecting parts have a great impact. When these forces increase to a certain extent, rotating and static parts of will be breakage, even destroy the whole axial compressor.Because of the inherent specialty of the axial compressor has been unable to change, this paper focuses on improving the control system, by reducing the interference of the signal in the process of transmission, optimize flow calculation to compensate the influence of temperature variation and pressure change on differential pressure, improve algorithm to predetermine the surge line, to avoid the surge phenomena happening in the axial compressor, and ensure efficient and reliable operation of the axial compressor.
