The stability of the open-pit slope has been one of the important security issues on open-pit mining. The accident of open-pit slope always brings huge economic losses and casualties to the company. The destruction of slope, generally shows a slow change in the displacement process, so we can monitor the slope, give warnings when the data reaches to the threshold of displacement, analyze the displacement trends and predict the future data based on the monitoring data.Based on the BD’s function of positioning and communication, the dissertation designed and implemented a real- time open-pit slope displacement monitoring system. Firstly, after an extensive literature review and the requirement survey, the system overall analysis and design is constructed, including requirements analysis, functional architecture design, database design, and early warning and forecast system design. The system is divided into four subsystems including data acquisition, data transmission, data parsing and data integrated management. Data acquisition subsystem is to acquire monitoring data; data transmission subsystem is to transfer the monitoring data; data parsing subsystem is to parse the monitoring data according to the transmission protocol and data integrated management subsystem is to manage the data in the database including real- time monitoring, real- time warning and displacement statistical analysis and forecast. Secondly, based on the system overall analysis and design, the system is developed and implemented, including the system overall technical architecture and the implementation of the four subsystems. Finally, the dissertation analyze the slope state of San Daozhuang open-pit and eventually set up two reference points and four deformation monitoring points, test the main functions of the data integrated management subsystem and analyze the results briefly.The dissertation designed and implemented a real-time open-pit slope displacement monitoring system based on BDS. Data is acquired by BD’s positioning function, data is transferred by BD’s communication function and software is to parse and manage the data. The results show that the monitoring system built in the dissertation can monitor and forecast the changes of slope displacement and has certain research value and application prospects.
