Hot rolled Halfen embedded channel is one kind of complex section steel. It is widely used in the field of tunnel construction and the various of concrete buildings which need to erect pipeline because of the advantages, Such as high strength, safety, easy installation,no welding, etc. The new groove-shape embedded parts which this topic research belong to Halfen embedded channel with tooth. Currently, the domestic production technology of hot-rolled such embedded channel has not yet mastered, which makes it difficult to meet our country’s market demand on the quality and specifications, so it mainly rely on import.In recent years, with the rapid development of domestic subway construction, there will be good market prospects.This article systematically introduces the section production in domestic and foreign and the present situation of the groove-shape embedded parts. On the basis of the theory of complex section pass design and the related pass system, according to the requirements of the cooperative enterprise, we draw a set of hot rolled pass system on the new groove-shape embedded parts, and used the Deform-3D software to simulate and analyze the process of tooth forming and hot rolling forming. Through simulating, analyzing and improving to the process of tooth forming, the reasonable design plan of rolling teeth was finally established. Through simulating the pass system which can get good filling effect and the finished shape size, the filling and bending situation, the force parameters of each pass, the temperature field and typical number of metal flow velocity field of deformation zone were analyzed importantly.Based on the numerical simulation, the rational design of pass system was applied to the actual production to verify the rationality of the pass system and analyze the actual situation of rolling through the field rolling test. Then, according to the feedback from the actual situation of rolling, the pass system would be improved to adapt to the mill to rolling out the qualified products.
