Research And Design On Chinese Dressing Box Cultrue

Chinese dressing box, which contains rich cultural connotation, has quite a long history. During the past thousands of years, it fuses different nationalities as well as cultural characteristics, developing in people’s lives on the basis of continuous technical improvement and experience. In the process of inheritance, the Chinese dress box formed its unique characteristics in style and folk, reflecting the aesthetic tendency and spirit of the humanity, it is not only present the highest human wisdom, but also a great art work in chinese history. The manufacturing process of dressing box is extremely complex, involving the process of tiring, sculpturing, drawing, and containing the science of materials and arts, all of them condensed in such a small object. More than that, with the development of history, the features and characteristics of dressing box are in flux, in some ways, the dressing box can reflects the development of productivity in each stage, the development of the dressing box is a mini version of the development of Chinese furniture history, this research aimed to a better understanding of the evolution of ancient furnitures, and even the cultural characteristics of different dynasties.For a long period of time, few dressing boxes are left because of lacking the related protection technology and awareness, difficulties can be existed during the research. For the intense research, investigation work is finished in some big libraries and museums in Beijing and Tianjin. For the study of the development of China’s dressing box, the relevant pictures and paperworks are gone through months of consolidation and analysis, through analyzing the dismantling of its design elements, combined with modern semantics, finally designed a dressing box combination of traditional and modern elements. In today’s society, the integration of traditional culture is highly mentioned, this research is hoping to not only draw a clear map of the dressing box, which can be useful for the design of modern dressing box, but also be more about dressing box culture protection and inheritance of theoretical support.
