Waste mineral oil is defined that, due to external factors which happened in the mining, producing and using processes, the mineral oil changed the original physical and chemical properties that cannot continue to be utilized. Internal combustion engine lubricant is one type of mineral oil; it will be involved in water and other impurities after being used a period of time and some of its constituents will be oxidized, resulting in the lubrication performance variation and replacement; the replaced waste lubricant is the waste mineral oil (referred to as waste oil). But these impurities are just small parts of the waste oil, the main part of waste internal combustion engine oil is still base oil. However, there are a series of treatment processes for recycling and reusing the waste oil and the cost is very high; thus the waste oil is treated as useless stuff or burned as fuel directly. It not only wastes energy, but also brings out environmental pollution. Therefore, it is a necessary option for the social development that develop a free-pollution, safe, convenient, and environmental friendly technology to be utilized for regenerating waste mineral oil.Based on the current situation of recycling technology of waste mineral oil in domestic and overseas, this paper investigated and developed a free-pollution, safe, convenient, and environmental friendly technology for regenerating waste mineral oil. The researcher designed and produced a set of automatic fixed-bed adsorption device.By means of the single factor experiment design method, the level of molecular distillation temperature, vacuum degree and the feed rate have impact on the yield and recovery rate of molecular distillation product, and it is determined that the level of molecular distillation optimal temperature is 245 to 250℃, the optimal vacuum degree is 10 to 20 Pa and the optimal feeding rate is 320 L/h. On the basis of the study about the influence of the fixed-bed process conditions on product chromaticity, it is determined that the optimal temperature for fixed-bed adsorption is 115℃, the optimal adsorption flow is 700 L/h.By adjusting and operating the industrial test facilities of waste mineral oil recycling system whose disposal capacity is 3000 tons per year, the filtration system and film vacuum unit are exchanged that leads to more stable system operation. The stable operation of the system leads to successful waste mineral oil recycling and utilizing and reaches the requirement for hazardous waste reduction, reuse and recycle; the quality of the products conforms to the relevant industrial Class I standard.
