The soil and water loss is the damage or the loss of soil and water resources and the productivity of the land under the action of hydraulic, gravity, wind, etc, it includes land surface erosion and soil and water loss. Soil degradation, drought and flood, water pollution and a series of environmental problems caused by soil and water loss not only caused the destruction of land resources, leads to the deterioration of the environment of agricultural production, ecological balance disorders, frequent floods droughts, but also affects the development of the industry production.Changting County was one of the most serious county of the soil and water loss in the part of the hilly red soil region, belong to national major control of soil and water conservation. Starting in the 1980s, the government began to intensifying soil and water loss of governance in Changting County. After more than 20 years of soil erosion control, the work of soil and water conservation has achieved remarkable achievement in Changting County. the ecological benefit evaluation of Changting is of great importance for the future of the soil and water conservation work.According to the principle of object-oriented muli-sacle segmentation, this research based on the software of eCognition classified the Landsat TM into 8 land use types (water, road, resident land, cultivated land, bare land, grassland, low vegetation coverage and high vegetation coverage), and get the map of high accuracy of land use types; Determine the evaluation index system of ecological benefit; Based on the three years of Landsat TM remote sensing images(2000,2006,2010) and the data of DEM and monthly rainfall, using remote sensing and GIS technology to extract the value ecological benefit evaluation index; Using the concept of entropy in information theory, according to the variation of the selected evaluation index characteristic values to determine the weight of index and build the evaluation model of grey system, through the correlation r analyzed ecological changes of Changting County from 2000 to 2010.The result showed that soil and water loss management of Changting County had achieved great results, Hetian, Zhuotian, Sanzhou and Cewu had the most obvious governance effect, the correlation r increased from 54.6 in 2000 to 60.8 in 2006, to increase to 62.4 in 2010, ten years increased by 7.8. The second was region 4, the correlation r increased from 73.4 in 2000 to 78.9 in 2010, ten years increased by 5.5. Comprehensive score of region 2 had a downward trend in 2010, overall though, the comprehensive score of the three periods was high, its ecological maintained better.
