The Application Of Animation Image In Furniture Product Design

Animation industry, as an emerging industry, develops rapidly and forms the situation of hundred flowers bloom. Animation image has entered into people’s real life from film and television works and been applied in the fields of peripheral products and advertising widely. Animation image is not only a language symbol with modelling meaning, but also an artistic collection of culture, emotion and aesthetic characters.This paper tries to grasp the fashion trend of animation image and fully explores the application methods and value of animation image in furniture design with the background of rapid growth of animation industry. In this paper, firstly, the basic definition, cultural connotation and modification modes of animation image are demonstrated, the linkage between animation image and furniture design is explored and analyzed, and the development of combination of animation image with furniture design is reviewed; secondly, the animation image’s design properties reflected in furniture design are discussed, including functional design, form design and color design; finally, by using the thinking of furniture design, the application methods of animation image in furniture design are studied, which are:materialized application method, animation image application method, decorative application method and a series of application methods. Besides, the limitation of application of animation image in furniture design is also demonstrated in this paper.Through the discussion on existing " animation furniture " product, based on the above research, new design practice is made.
