| China is seriously lack of fresh water; this circumstance is even worse in thenorthern part of China. Especially with urban development, the amount of waste wateris increasing every year. Therefore, the Chinese government has paid more and moreattention to urban water shortage and serious water pollution.This thesis presented the outlet water of a sewage treatment plant in Jilinsignificantly exceeded the national standard in winter. All principal pollutants,including COD, BOD, total nitrogen, and ammonia nitrogen, could not meet the ClassA water requirements in the current national standard. Consequently, this sewagetreatment plant needed to be upgraded and reconstructed immediately. Throughcomparing different solutions, the reconstruction plan was determined. To meet theClass A water requirements, the plan included increasing the filling of CASTbiochemical pool, using chlorine dioxide to disinfect, adding a CYYF deodorizationprocess, and an advanced treatment. Further, this thesis proposed the plan for singleequipment modification and equipment selection. In order to save engineering andenvironmental cost, the existing equipment and civil work should be used as much aspossible.The environmental pollution factors in the process of construction and specificenvironmental protection measures are also presented in this thesis. It would createconsiderable economic benefit, social benefit, as well as the environmental benefit. |
