To remove iron from bauxite ore under the coal was studied in this paper. To achieve the purpose of remove iron content in the bauxite ore under the coal, combined the mineral of aluminum and iron form and disseminated relationship in bauxite ore under the coal, and with the flotation, magnetic separation, chemical leaching benificiations methods of theoretical analysis and practical test.Analysis of chemical and mineral of the bauxite ore under the coal sample, the mine sample is monohydrate diaspore structures, Al-Si ratio is lower. Iron ore sample is mainly pyrite and hematite.Based on high gradient magnetic separation removal iron experiment from bauxite ore under the coal. it was concluded that the best conditions was grinding fineness-0.074mm91.3%, beneficiation magnetic field intensity was 0.7 T and 1.5 T, and pulp concentration was20% for magnetic separation in addition to iron, ore sample alumina content 58.59%, TFe was1.72%, compared with the 1.97% ferric oxide content in the aluminum concentrate, the iron removal rate was 37.29%.Researched on the best flotation test conditions in addition to Iron oxide in bauxite ore under the coal experiment was carried out :grinding fineness-0.074 mm is 81%, p H = 8.5,dosage of 600g/t collector, the dosage of activator to 50g/t. In the flotation product TFe was1.16%. the iron removal rate was 32.62%. Butyl xanthate flotation collector only for pyrite,not for other forms of iron ore, it still remain in the aluminum ore concentrate. bauxite ore under the coal with coarse grinding- flotation concentrate fine grinding flotation experiment research, finally got ferric content in the aluminum concentrate was 1.37%. Al2O3 was71.85%, In generally the raw material of refractory iron-containing impurities requires less than 1%, It didn’t meet the requirement of removing iron through flotation and magnetic separation,So in addition to iron ore by magnetic separation- flotation laboratory open circuit test. and leaved about 0.83% ferric oxide exist in the aluminum concentrate.Analysised aluminum oxide and iron minerals thermodynamic concluded that Al2O3 can leached only be part of. Fe2O3, Fe S2 hardly be leached, Fe O easily leached completely In the dilute acid environment.But in the hydrochloric acid solution with Fe3+and Cl-form a variety of stable complexes, so contribute to acid reaction with Fe2O3.bauxite ore under the coalchemical leached under optimum leaching conditions: speed 200 rpm, the concentration of hydrochloric acid was 6mol/L, leaching temperature was 60℃, leaching time was 120 min,liquid to solid ratio of was 3: 1. The leaching residue Can be got the content of 0.46% iron,Al2O3 75.51%,the removal rate was 49.15%. Through the study of bauxite acid leaching kinetics, It was concluded that acid leaching process for the particle size was constant shrinking core diffusion model. Obtain the activation energy E=27411.26J/mol.Through studied the iron remove from bauxite ore under the coal iron by magnetic separation- flotation- chemical leaching whole process. It was conclude that leach residue yield was 94.32%, iron content was 0.50%, Al2O3 74.87%. Entire magnetic separation-flotation- chemical processes in addition to iron ratio as high as 70.93%. The process combined the advantage of magnetic separation- flotation, the process is simple, Less reagent dosage, and helps to reduce the amount of hydrochloric acid, reduce environmental pollution and reduce costs. And finally product is suitable for product high quality refractory.
