The process simulation of liquefied petroleum gas pyrolysis to propylene has been studied systemically in this paper. Separation is a key process in chemical production. The rectification distillation is very important in separation process, and accurately simulation of distillation column is significant to instruct both design and operation of the production process.According to comparison of Propylur process, OCP process, Superflex technology, MOI process, the processing plan of this project is proposed. The technical scheme has its advantage that its raw material is ordinary civil liquefied petroleum gas which can meet the feeding requirement through simple pretreatment. For this kind of process scheme, PRO/Ⅱ process simulation software was applied to build models of the depropanizer column and deisobutanizer column, absorption column and desorption column, stabilizer column model in liquefied petroleum gas pyrolysis unit, and to simulate to the preliminary separation and product separation.The whole process simulation is able to reflect the equipment running status under normal working conditions. The simulation result of different operating conditions can not only provide basis for analyzing production process, but also provide valuable reference for improving design and operating conditions to increase the processing capacity of the columns and reduce energy consumption and so on.
