Cultivating Rational Ecological-man: The New Mission Of University

On the background of the advocating of ecological civilization, people are renew our relationship with nature, the concept of rational ecological man are raised in such environment. Through the deep analysis of ecological civilization construction and rational ecological man, this thesis states that the cultivating of ecological man is the new mission of university. After summarizing and referencing the research achievements and experience of some experts, analyzing the relationship of ecological civilization construction, rational ecological man and ecological civilization, propose the principles and methods of how to cultivating the ecological man.First of all, state the meanings and features of ecological civilization and ecological man separately, point out to build the ecological civilization need the help of ecological man. Second, based on stating the meanings and features of ecological civilization and ecological man combine the Chinese tradition culture, western ethic culture and Marxism ethic thoughts as the three resources of ecological civilization education. Discuss the value of rational ecological man and analyzing the importance of cultivating the rational ecological man. At last, discuss the meaning of cultivating the rational ecological man in university, and proposed principle of humanity, epochal character and continuity. Reinforce the ecological awareness, construct the ecological culture atmosphere, and take part in the practice of protecting the environment, build diversified models of ecological education and so on.
