| The increase of vehicle number not only brings convenience to daily life, but also causes serious traffic jams and emission pollution. Many scholars have researched the traffic flow of various kinds of traffic bottlenecks and reasons of emission. But researches on unconventional road such as curves and ramps are few. As important parts of urban roads, curves and ramp play vital roles on urban traffic. So, the research which focuses on vehicle emissions in unconventional roads will has both theoretical and practical significance on reducing urban traffic jams and emission pollution. In the paper, for the unconventional road, we improve the existing traffic model by analyzing the traffic flow characters and driving features in curves and ramps, and built an unconventional road traffic model based on the OVM. By researching the characteristics of the microscope emission factor model, we redefine the calculation method of traffic emission in order to making the calculation of the traffic emission more exactly.First, we make researches and simulates of the vehicle emission on the ramp by combining the traffic model and emission model. The study found that road slope coefficient and vehicle speed are the key factors to the vehicle emissions. The increase of the slope coefficient causes the increase of the average carbon emissions in the uphill; while in the downhill, the result is opposite. The increase of vehicle speed can effectively reduce the average carbon emissions. The drivers’ sensitive coefficient which is measuring the drivers’ skill and behavior has less influence in the vehicle carbon emission. The study of curves shows that the bigger of the radius of curvature, the lower the average carbon emissions, but the greater the traffic flow. And speed also determines vehicle carbon emission. Fast speed leads to a reduction of the emission factors, which also reducing the vehicle carbon emission. In conclusion, we simulate the vehicle carbon emission of unconventional roads. The result is valid. The conclusion could be theoretical and practical reference value, which laid a certain foundation for the urban construction planning and traffic management. |
