Study On Traffic Safety Guarantee Constructions Based Traffic Characteristics Of Urban Road Work On Road Traffic

With the development of social economy,gradual increase in the total motor vehicles leading to urgent demand of road infrastructure construction,because of this,most cities in China is facing a lot of pain "traffic" problems caused by the construction.And the roadwork constructions leads to the level of traffic service degrade and brings many traffic problems thereby.First,this paper analyzes the traffic characteristics of road work.By measuring the speed of vehicles on test section,this paper analyzes the distribution characteristics of vehicles speed on road work zone.On that basis,this paper analyzes the constructions of traffic safety guarantee.By the study of the road characteristics,the driver characteristics and the traffic flow characteristics in work zones,this paper analyzes the impacts of road work on road traffic.And existing problems in current traffic safety guarantee constructions are pointed out.Then,survey of vehicles speed of road work zone in Wuhan is done.By collection of speed data in different traffic control area,the speed distribution on road work zones is studied.By fitting the speed data of different traffic control areas with relevant function in SPSS,the distribution form of traffic speed in different section is learned.And this study also show that the traffic control areas has impact on central tendency and dispersion.By studying the speed distribution on road work zones,this paper gives suggests and principles on traffic safety guarantee constructions.First,the length of the Upstream Transition Area of road work zones is given.Second,the speed limit value determination method is suggested basing different traffic speed characteristics in different traffic control area.Last,road signs and road traffic marking and night construction safety facilities are discussed.
