In recent years, all kinds of plastic pipe used in oil and gas gathering and transportation. Many research have been done in the study of the polymer synthesis and its performance degradation. But there is still few of research of the thermoplastic plastic pipes specialized in the field of oil and gas transportation.From the point of the thermoplastic plastic pipes in the transmission of oil and gas, this paper is based on lots of scientific experiments including thermoplastic plastic pipe blasting test and high temperature and high pressure immersion test, which try to conclude the rule of pipe’s degradation in the corrosion medium of oil and gas field. Through blasting test at room temperature and high temperature in certain water pressure, the thermoplastic plastic pipe for water pressure blasting test under different temperature, and analysising and processing test data and draw the corresponding curve and comparing curves of thermoplastic pipe at a certain temperature, the degradation performance under pressure can be attained. Autoclave immersion test is studied mainly through the simulated oil field environment of thermoplastic pipes, especially degradation of lining for the exploration research.Experiments show that temperature, pressure, time and the medium play important rule in the degradation.Compared with the original sample, different temperature for different time and different medium came out to different deformation, cracking and blistering phenomenon.After the test of the hoop tensile,strength are increased from PE80, PE100, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) to polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE). Compared with five kinds of materials in the weight change,the swelling rate and strength loss rateand the crystallization rate before and after immersion,PE80 expressed poor corrosion resistance incrude oil and H2 S environment and UHMWPE and PTFE exhibited higher crude oil and H2 S environment adaptability,which keep up 80% strength.
